The Parish Council does not have the power to determine planning applications but is consulted by South Lakeland District Council on all applications under consideration. Members of S.L.D.C. or officers with delegated powers make the decisions.
This list is refreshed every Monday.

SL/2021/0029(1) - Barn Hey, Allithwaite

Planning application SL/2021/0029 has been submitted to SLDC for Erection of 37 dwellings and associated works.

Constraints include Section 106 Agreement and adjacent listed building.  Additional information can be viewed on the SLDC website where there are 56 records!

SLDC have written to all agencies, etc and comments should be with them by the 24th February 2021. 

Residents are encouraged to put their comments on the website which again will enhance any decision we make as a council.

Planning application SL/2021/0052 The Pastures Templand Lane Allithwaite.  Siting of two holiday lodges with hardstanding for parking and drainage connections.

SLDC has approved many extensions of this static lodge style caravan park over recent years. Following their implementation, the directors of Woodset Ltd. have found ongoing demand from visitors wanting to stay at ‘The Pastures’ Lodge Park.

This application is for 2 Holiday Lodges in place of 1 at ‘Meadows End’.   The Meadows End enclave was added to by approval of 2 extra lodges, as part of a 3 lodge approval (SL/2016/0768) 2 of which were implemented.  Further information can be veiwed on the SLDC planning portal.

SL/2021/0039 - Badgers Wood, Allithwaite Allithwaite

Planning application SL/2021/0039 Badgers Wood Woodlands Drive Allithwaite. Detached garage & carport and installation of bi fold doors to dwelling.

The property has a generous driveway which easily accommodates 3 cars but there is no covered parking space. The applicant would like to build a new garage and car port. They would also like to integrate space for the storage of bikes, outdoor equipment and garden tools. It was agreed that a 1 and a half size garage with an adjacent carport would be preferred. A wider garage door will also help a car turn into the garage.

SL/2021/0029 - Barn Hey, Allithwaite

Planning application SL/2021/0029 Barn Hey Flookburgh Road Allithwaite GRANGE-OVER-SANDS LA11 7RJ Approval of reserved matters for four detached dwellings with associated parking and vehicle access approved under outline planning permission SL/2017/0979.  

Comments to SLDC by LAPC in 2017 was to approve the application on condition that the property fronting Flookburgh Road appeared to face Flookburgh Road and that pedestrian access to the future proposed footpath link to the village is provided.

SLDC – reported application to the planning committee on the 22 Feb 2018.

The following application SL/2020/0613 has been submitted to SLDC for planning permission: Demolition of side Conservatory structure and bay windows, demolition of unused rear outbuilding. Erection of one and half storey rear and side extension with two sets of rear-facing bi-fold doors at ground floor level.
